Ocean Avenue Pavement Collapse at "Waterfalls" Luxury Condo Site.

Brooklyn Junction has done several pieces on the the "Waterfalls" Luxury Condo Construction site including this one. Again, there has been a sizable incident at the "Waterfalls" development site on Ocean Ave near Farragut Road in Flatbush. I came across this scene at about 5:10 Wednesday evening:
Apparently, the pavement of the Southbound curbside lane of Ocean Avenue buckled under the weight of a large crane being used at the development. Traffic on the Avenue was snarled for over three hours.

There were at least three ladder companies that responded to the incident along with the NYPD and National Grid (the new name for Keyspan - formerly known as Brooklyn Union Gas.) They stood by while the crane was moved to stable ground in case of further collapse.
