Apparently a hand transcribed Torah which took close to a decade to create was donated to a local synagogue.
It was paraded through the streets of Midwood on Sunday to the tune of "Hava Nagila" along with a significant line of followers.

Celebration for donated Torah to Ocean Parkway Synagogue
This is just another one of events that occurs in Brooklyn that is a huge deal to a particular community but the rest of us spectators stand by and wonder "Who knew?" I just happened upon it.
Apparently a hand transcribed Torah which took close to a decade to create was donated to a local synagogue.
It was paraded through the streets of Midwood on Sunday to the tune of "Hava Nagila" along with a significant line of followers.
